Short Point
Short Point is prestigious area located on the noreast side of Merimbula. It is a small location that is identified by the proximity and views to the magnificent Short Point Beach. Short Point Beach is a long stretch of sand that links to the Tura Beach and is an excellent walk. The beach is popular with surfers, snorkellers, waveboarders and swimmers. Shortpoint is a five minute drive or a ten minute walk to Merimbula and is conveniently located to all of Merimbula's services, sportsgrounds and schools. Real estate in the area is a mixture of holiday homes and privately owned properties. There is a slow trend towards older style residences being replaced with modern beach style housing built to take full advantage of the views and features of this amazing location.
Snug Cove
Twofold Bay and its safe harbour, Snug Cove, was named and mapped by George Bass early in 1798 during his initial voyage of discovery. Although trawler numbers have significantly reduced, Eden remains the largest fishing port in NSW today but boats now range as far as South Australia to drop their nets. The fishing industry is one of the mainstays of Eden's economy and a large fleet operates out of Eden from Snug Cove. Here you'll see the catch arrive before it goes to processing for export and national consumption. Many of the original houses in Snug Cove are traditional and simple. The area has two major hills, and the houses are built using multi-level designs to adapt to the topography. The locals call the area ‘the Wharf’, and there are art gallery’s, cafes, fish shops and smokehouses in the main wharf area. Similar to all of Eden, Snug Cove is a great place to cast a line. All sorts of water sports including swimming, sailing and diving can be enjoyed in the Snug Cove area.
South Pambula
South Pambula is a village about 3 kilometres south of the town of Pambula. The real estate in South Pambula has an old fashioned charm, but the more recently built homes are modern and are positioned to take in the view of the Pambula flats. The nearest shopping is in Pambula, only 3 minutes away that has a quirky mixture of shops leaning to the unusual, old fashioned or sustainable. Tanja

Tarraganda
Tarraganda is the golden mile in real estate of Bega. Situated on rolling farm pastures the area is a five minute drive from Bega and a two minute drive from the local Bega Golf Course. Top Lake
The Merimbula town is surrounded by coastal waterways, and Top Lake is one. The local shops, cafes and restaurants are only a short walk away and the best of Merimbula's beaches are within a five minute drive. Towamba
Towamba is a small community, located about forty minutes drive west of Eden. The Towamba River valley stretches from the escarpment to the sea at Kiah inlet. Along with settlements such as Burragate, Pericoe, Rocky Hall and Kiah, Towamba was one of the settlements established after Benjamin Boyd began to open up the area to European settlement in the 1840s and 1850s. Today, Towamba is a vibrant community with a Public School, Progress Association and Sports ground Committee, spinners, Play group, Library, sports clinics for the children and a local radio. The properties in Towamba are rustic and rural. The land is affordable and the area is private and tranquil. The nearest shopping centres are in Eden, Pambula or Merimbula. The village of Towamba, however, boasts a variety of fresh, local produce. Towamba offers a variety of sports and activities, and the Towamba Valley Access Bus provides a great service with weekly trips into either Merimbula or Bega, plus occasional social trips. Tura Beach
Tura Beach is a relative newcomber to the south coast real estate scene. A purpose built community, Tura Beach has a 72 par golf course that has amazing views over the Pacific Ocean. Houses in this area are contemporary brick and tile although in the later released areas more modern style housing is being erected. Tura Beach is serviced by a Woolworths development that consists of a Supermarket, Petrol Station, Newsagency and other specialty shops. School aged students attend the Merimbula Primary School or the Eden Marine High School. Private schooling is also available. Tura Beach offers affordable housing suitable for families, first home owners and retirees. The area has excellent views and is closley located to the natural playground of the Bournda National Park.
Wapengo Lake
Wapengo Lake is located off the Tathra-Bermagui Road in the Mimosa Rocks National Park. The location offers peace, serenity and untouched natural bushland. Many of the houses in this area are traditional farm houses in a rural setting. The newer houses are designed to complement the natural surroundings by using timbers and rustic materials. The area remains largely rural, although coastal lifestyle blocks have become more available. Rural properties tend to have established homesteads with a strong colonial influence whereas lifestyle blocks can vary between modern contemporary brick and tile housing or houses built for sustainable living; sometimes from alternative materials such as mud brick. The closest shopping area is located at Tathra, and larger shopping centres are at Bega and Bermagui. There are opportunities for fishing, swimming, surfing, snorkelling, walking, birdwatching or just sight-seeing. School aged children are catered for with nearby primary school and a secondary school. Full bus services are provided to all colleges schools.
